The weather’s getting warmer in the capital but forecasters are warning that a snow system could bring some commuting difficulties Thursday.
Environment Canada issued a weather advisory for parts of Ottawa, forecasting 5-10 cm of snow to fall through the day, turning into possible freezing drizzle in the afternoon.
“Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly,” the weather advisory said. “Poor weather conditions may contribute to transportation delays. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.”
