EAST TEXAS (KLTV/KTRE) – Today, Feb. 15, remains a First Alert Weather Day. Isolated strong to severe storms will be possible beginning in the morning before a line of storms moves through the area into the afternoon. The storms will develop along a cold front and move eastward across our region. The line of storms will clear out of East Texas by Saturday night.
Storms will strengthen as they continue eastward beyond East Texas, with a greater risk for severe weather extending into portions of Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Alabama.

After the weekend, attention turns to another cold blast moving into the area for the second half of next week when overnight lows in the 20s. Blustery conditions will lead to wind chill/feels like values in the single digits and teens. While there is rain in the forecast for part of the week, it remains to be seen if the cold air will arrive at the right time for any winter precipitation. Stay tuned for updates from the First Alert Weather Center.
