Cincinnati will try to pick up its first Big 12 win Tuesday night in Waco, Texas, as head coach Wes Miller and the Bearcats take on Scott Drew and the Baylor Bears. Both teams are coming off losses with Baylor falling to Iowa State, 74-55, on the road this past weekend.
Baylor is 9-4 and currently ranked No. 22 in KenPom and No. 24 in the NCAA’s NET rankings. The Bears are 2-3 in Quad 1 games, with wins over Arkansas and St. John’s. Baylor won its first Big 12 game against Utah, 81-56.
After putting two players in the NBA after last season—Ja’Kobe Walter and Yves Missi—Scott Drew made some big portal additions in former Duke point guard Jeremy Roach and former Miami forward Norchad Omier. The Bears also added multiple top-25 recruits, including small forward VJ Edgecombe and point guard Rob Wright.
