University of Michigan Athletics

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The 15th-ranked University of Michigan men’s basketball team (20-6, 12-3 Big Ten) hits the road for the first of two final road conference battles heading to Lincoln to face Nebraska (17-10, 7-9 Big Ten) at Pinnacle Bank Arena. The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. CST tip and will be broadcast live on FS1.

Notes

• Michigan heads to Nebraska after its six-game winning streak ended with a loss to No. 14 Michigan State on Friday night (Feb. 21). In a rivalry battle for the top spot in the Big Ten, U-M (12-3) is now a half-game behind the Spartans (13-3).

• After a 16-1 record against Nebraska when the Cornhuskers joined the Big Ten (2012), U-M has lost back-to-back games — 79-59 (Feb. 10, 2024) and 85-70 (March 10, 2024). U-M leads 22-5 in the all-time series.

• U-M is midway through a stretch of three games in seven days. It began with a rivalry matchup with No. 14 Michigan State (L, 75-62). Monday’s battle at Nebraska will be followed by a contest against Rutgers (Feb. 27).

• Michigan has five games remaining with three of those to be played at home. U-M will play three straight at Crisler Center after the trip to Nebraska. The Wolverines have not had back-to-back home games since the end of December.

Dusty May‘s 20th win helped him to three straight 20-win seasons — Florida Atlantic: 2022-23 (35-4), 2023-24 (25-9), and Michigan: 2024-25 (20-5). May’s 12 wins in the Big Ten tie him with Steve Fisher (12-6; 1989-80) for the most conference victories for a first-year Michigan head coach. May has a record of 80-19 over his last three seasons as head coach.

Vladislav Goldin is shooting 63.9 percent, which ranks second in the Big Ten (Indiana’s Oumar Ballo, 64.0 percent) and seventh nationally. In U-M’s rivalry week, Goldin posted back-to-back 20-plus point games. For the week, Goldin stayed on his season pace going 16-for-25 (64.0). He had his third double-double (20 points, 10 rebounds) at Ohio State and followed with a team-best 21 points against No. 14 Michigan State.

• With eight assists against Michigan State, Danny Wolf (99) is closing in on 100, which would be a career first. He has 10 games with five-plus assists. Wolf trails only Tre Donaldson (102) for the team lead.

• Wolf averages a near double-double (12.8 ppg and 9.9 rpg) and is second in the Big Ten with 11 (Maryland’s Julian Reese, 13). He has 14 of U-M’s 18 games of 10-plus rebounds.

• U-M is shooting 48.9 percent, which ranks third in the Big Ten and 14th nationally.

• After a midseason stretch of six straight games with the Wolverines making 10-plus three-pointers, U-M has only one in its last eight. In the six-game stretch, U-M made 76 three-pointers (46.3 percent) and has 65 in the next eight (30.0 percent).
